One of my favorite spots to visit and take pictures in while in the Redwoods is Fern Canyon. On the way there today, I dropped Gary and Martha at the trail head for one of the trails that leads down to the beach. This particular one allows bicycling. They got to ride their bikes down the trail and then down the beach to Fern Canyon.
Part of Jurassic Park 2 was filmed in Fern Canyon. It is easy to understand why. It certainly looks like something out of the Jurassic time period. I think Gary and Martha are pretty safe there now.
I really like trying to take pictures there. I still don't have what I consider a great one. It is very dark, so long exposures are needed. Since it is right next to the coast, it is usually a little breezy. Long exposures are always blurred. I bet lots of strobe lights would work.
Chasing pre-historic creatures wore Gary out.
After Gary's nap we went to the beach for a while. I love being on the beach when we have it all to ouselves.
