I've been told that Mt Spokane has some of the best cross-country skiing in the area, so I thought I'd give it a try yesterday. It was extremely foggy on the way up, but I figured you didn't need to see very far when cross-country skiing. Just before the ski area, it broke out into this wonderful, blue sky, sunny day. And what a day is was!!
The trails there were wonderful. All were nicely groomed. And there was lots of them.
One could ski for hours and not go on the same trail twice.
Several times along the trails, there would be these spectacular views of the valley below. This one was looking towards foggy Coeur d'Alene. I'm going to come back more often.
On the way home I stopped at Stan and Michele's.
No wonder I moved to the area.
