2011 Christmas Letter

It's time for the annual Christmas letter. I'm usually pretty good at writing one, getting it sent is another story. Friends and relatives I know who are computer, email, facebook users will probably not get a mailed version. Those who are technically challenged might get one in the mail, maybe, possibly, hopefully. Who knows? If your one of the folks reading this, there's a tree in the forest thanking your, and a postal worker who isn't.

2011 Christmas Letter

Teresa and John moved into a house near downtown Coeur d'Alene. John has done a wonderful job at remodeling and fixing it up. It was unlivable when he started. Teresa is now the senior 1st grade teacher at her school. She had the opportunity to move to a more affluent school but decided not to change. She feels she can make more of an impact working in the more depressed community.

Eric is still working a Boeing where he was promoted into something to do with accounting. He and a friend have purchase a powerboat and spent much of the year fixing it up. How a son raised around sailboats ended up with what can only be described as a party power boat is beyond me. They sure do enjoy it though and it fits his personality well.

Christine is now the head of human resources at Remote Medical. She and Clint rode his motorcycle (a BMW) to Colorado this past summer to camp with Clint's parents. They are moving into a house next month.

Michele and Stan rented their little house and moved into mine here on Rose Lake in May. Last month they moved into their new house. It is really nice, across the street from a great park, with a pretty view and super nice neighbors. I'm really happy for them. Saray is in 1st grade already and Raif is just the funnest two year old ever.

While Michele and Stan were taking care of my house, I took off for a 5 month adventure to Alaska. It was awesome! Christine joined me for a week camping in Denali. I'm anxious to repeat it. I also managed a couple of other trips in the motor home. I tend to go to an area with the motor home, camp at a location and explore that area on the motorcycle. During and between trips I enjoy hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, bicycling, photography, amateur radio, and home improvement. You know, all the things I've always enjoyed doing.

Happy Holidays, Mark
