A Bad Back is a Pain in the Ass!!

I haven't done much lately because I have some sort of sciatic pain going on. It all started a few weeks ago. I was coming home from an evening with Michele and Stan and noticed some pain in my right leg. That night I could hardly sleep. The pain starts in my butt and runs down the back of my right leg. A fews days later I'm at the doctors. She said it sounds like my sciatic nerve, but is worrysome because it started suddenly without me doing anything AND it isn't going away. A few days later I got an MRI. A few more days and I'm back at the doctor's office, only to find out that the MRI showed my back as being basically normal for a guy my age. Now I get to go to a back specialist but have to wait until July 1st to get in. Did you notice all those few days between appointments. It's been almost three weeks now and I have over another week to wait. Excercising is pretty much out of the picture. Except I've found I can hike some. Sitting on any kind of hard surface is especially troublesome.

I've made two trips to Seattle over this period. Once for the funeral of a friend of my. I stood in the back of church. She had the most interesting family. She has 12 brothers and sisters. But the really strange thing is that her parents have no grandchildren. Can you believe that??

The second trip was for my annual heart stress test. I got through it by speed walking.

The good news is that my heart is doing well.

Father's Day was great. I know I keep saying this, but I have great kids and the cutest grand daughter ever!!!
