Our last National Park was Zion. The main area of the park is just 6 miles long up this canyon. Each side of the canyon has huge sandstone cliffs that shoot up for a thousand feet or so. Again we got some great campsites with stellar views. Our original plan was to stay 3, maybe 4 days, but again we ended up staying longer.
The first half of the road is restricted to the shuttle buses and lodge guest's cars. The second half of the road is restricted to shuttles only. That makes for some great bicycle riding, especially in the early evening. What's great about riding a bicycle here is that you can stop anywhere and not just the shuttle stops. So I got to take in some views, etc. that most folks don't get to see.
