Life has been busy since returning from my trip to and around Alaska. Most of the time has been spent working around the house, cleaning up after being gone for several months. But the highlight was the marriage of my middle daughter, my third child, Christine to her long time boyfriend, Clint. Nothing makes a father more happy than seeing a child extremely happy, even if it means being demoted to the 2nd man in her life. Clint is such a great man. I couldn't be more pleased with Christine's choice. In fact all my children have chosen extremely well.
Christine and Clint were married on the shores of Lake Washington in Seattle. Like with Christine's sister last year, I was worried about them planning an outdoor wedding so late in the year. Again, their mother must have pulled some strings with the weather gods to ensure her daughter's wedding would have nothing but the best weather possible for this time of year.
To say these two are happy would be the understatement of the year. Their main goal for the day was to have a great party. If you know my kids, there would be not question that this wedding would be something to remember.
And these are my kids. Eric, Teresa and her husband of one year John, Christine and Clint, and, Michele and her husband Stan, the parents of my three grandchildren.
And the "Father of the Bride" with the bride. During the day I kept thinking of the Paul Simon song with the line "No father loves his daughter more than I love you".
I'm one very lucky guy.
