What an interesting summer this has been with covid-19. We were still
able to do quite a few things staying outdoors and social distancing when we visited people.
It was a bit of a pain but I think we pretty much got used to it.
We're not looking forward to the fall and winter though.
Saray had a great 15th birthday "drive by party". A lot of her friends
drove by with lots of horn honking. It's hard to believe that she's now
15.
The highlight was having the Johnson family show up from Pasco
Washington. They decided that they just had to come and help Saray
celebrate being 15. What great friends they are.
Christine and Clint bought a new house in Kenmore and moved in during all the virus shutdowns. We didn't
get to see it for several months thanks to Covid. Theresa and Caanann came
over to help Christine with the kids while Clint was recovering.
After Christine and Clint trip in the San Juan Islands Clint got a
sudden headache. He was Med-Evacuated by helicopter to Seattle with a brain
bleed. Turns out he's going to be fine but it was a pretty scary time
for them.
Being so young it was surprising that Mila and Caanann and did so well with social distancing and wearing masks.
If Clint and Christine didn't have enough going on, Their sewer line on their new house plugged up. Caanann and Mila went right to work to dig up the
pipe.
A couple of nights when we were there Eric and his girlfriend Julie showed up for dinner. We had a great time on the porch.
Before Lincoln could walk, he could climb. They are going to have quite a time keeping him on the ground.
Mona and I did get a couple of bicycle rides along the trail of the
Coeur d'Alene. The first time we tried to ride it since we got home I
didn't do so well. Turns out I was anemic. After a bunch of tests the
doctors still don't know why. They figure it is some sort of
gastrointestinal bleed but it's not showing up on any of their tests.
I've been taking iron which seems to have resolved the issue.
One day Mona and I hiked up to an area called Steamboat rocks along the
Coeur D'alene River. Who knows why it's called Steamboat rocks. They're
definitely has never been a steamboat on this part of the river.

It's an annual tradition to ride the Hiawatha Trail with some of the
family. This year Michele and the kids rode with us. Mona and I turned
around at Clear Creek Android backup.. The others continued down the
road and took the shuttle bus up. With covid-19 I didn't feel comfortable riding
the bus nor going through the over mile long tunnel, so we rode back up from Clear Creek, my usual turn around point.
Since Mona's daughter Lucy has been working remotely she decided to come
and spend the summer at Mona's place in Sandpoint rather than stay in Brooklyn, NY.
Mona's son Max came up to visit for a couple of weeks from LA. This is a hike we all took to Pyramid Lake in the Selkirks.
